Once again Seer Green Singers, along with our sister choir Village Voices, were the host choirs for the Beaconsfield Festival of Choirs. And for the first time this was extended to two days, with choirs performing in a concert on Friday evening March 7th as well as in four concerts on Saturday March 8th.
The format of each concert was the same - each choir taking part performed for about 20 minutes (or so!), and then all the choirs present sang together. We sang in the first concert on Saturday (photo below), and our set included "Softly, as I leave you", "Take me home, country roads" and "The Book of Love" by Dom Stitchbury - who was actually in the audience for this performance! He wasn't the only one who seemed to have something in his eye by the end of that song.

The song commissioned by the Festival this year was "Love Sounds Like This", written by, and for this festival actually conducted by, Anna Tabbush. This was performed by all the choirs taking part in each concert, as the final piece. Some members of the audience attended multiple concerts and, although they didn't have the score, many were singing along with the choirs by the end of Saturday!
